The same could also be said of the evolutionists concerning creation, they are afraid it is right. That would mean they might be accountable to the creator. If you make it, you get to set the rules.
No, evolution is a scientific fact that has nothing to do with religion. Some religious groups fear evolution because it contradict their narrow interpretation of their religious texts. There is a connection one way, not the other. There is fear one way, not the other.
I wonder why some religious groups fear evolution and others don’t?
There are many Christian groups who have equated Darwin and Satan. I don’t understand the fear of evolution. It’s like being afraid of a tv-set because it uses a cathode ray tube.
If science is looking for the truth, which I believe it is, then there should be nothing to fear.

I think the majority of those who have problems with evolution are those who interpret the bible literally. Evolution, geology, cosmology, archaeology etc., all indicate that the world is much much older than the 6000 years most literalists claim. There is nothing in the bible that states how old the earth and the universe are, it is just a silly calculation.
Evolution also implies that humans are not special, just another animal. This seems to deeply offend the “My ancestors are not monkeys!” crowd.
